Type 2 Anyone Else Felt Really Tired when starting on Metformin?

Day 4 on Metformin and just increased to take a second tablet in the Evening. It is probably not at all related but for the last couple of days I have felt extremely tired. Particularly so tonight. Anyone else found this when they started taking Metformin?
 
Yes but I was tired before, it takes a little while to settle in - it is more likely to be the diabetes itself. I see you are on low-carb but carbs do make you tired too, have you tried a new food lately?

It could just be co-incidence - you might be fighting off a lurgy? :***:
 
I think its probably just coincidence as you say. I have been working quite hard for sure.
 
I started 500mg Metformin last wednesday and felt exactly the same as you. I felt less tired on day 6 and much better today. If you are newly diagnosed try to make adjustments to your diet too eg cutting sugar and carbs.
