Just for laughs really, I;m just interested how mine compare to tohers and may we could do a regular sharing of progress.

Some of you might rememebr I was diagnosed about 2 months ago, just to give you some context.

My first ever test = 14.4

My average waking reading over the last 7 days = 5.2 (weirdly the last three days it has been between 5.1 and 5.6 without a change in diet).

My 7 day average of all my readings = 5.0

My 14 day average = 4.9

My average 21 Day reading = is 5.0

I have noticed the last few days an unexplained increase in readings generally, although my diet is the same, so it's a bit weird....

i wouldn't be too concerned over 0.4 changes even though you are eating the same. The weather can affect results, as can your mood and time of the month (yes its been proven that us men suffer monthly cycles too!).

Good results tho

My 14 day average (fasting only. It's all I have strips for) is currently 5.4. Ithe range in that time is 4.7 - 5.8

Hi Gov

I was diagnosed in March so still learning the ropes as they say.

My levels are pretty good. I was diagnosd by sheer chance at a "Well being clinic" at work with glucose in my urine, was sent to the doctors and after blood tests of 2 fasting levels of 8.9 i joined the club.

My first HBA a month after diagnosis was ONLY 6.8 and after my first 3 month checkup was 6.1 Which dont seem like typical diabetic HBA levels to me, but what do i know.

My daily levels at home are ususally about 7 or 8 fasting morning levels but usually go down to 6 during the day.

90mins after food i can be about 9.5 but after about 3 hours im back to 6ish. To be honest i still think they have made a mistake.

I have tried to cut back on the carbs but not been to strick as my levels look ok doing what i am doing.

I have however cut out Pop completely as i was drinking about 2 litres of coke/pepsi a day which is why suspect i was high on diagnosis.

At my checkup the other day i gave into them and started taking statins and Lisinopril washed down with an asprin a day as my blood pressure was a little high again. Im off today to buy a blood pressure meter cos i think im ok and just suffer "white coat syndrome" when i go to the docs and getting untrue high blodd pressure readings readings. I REALLY dont want to continue taking tablets that are not needed.

Anyway i hope that helps

Brian
