I have 2 Nexus glucoRX meters and nearly got the shock of my life. Ive had a few hypos so I keep one e house and one in my handbag when out to be on the safe side especially when driving. On occasions I get high readings that I can’t think of a reason for having. However I just did my lunchtime check and nearly fell over as it was 30.6 . I’ve never in12 years had a reading like that, so I waited 5 minutes and checked again and it was 14.6 still stupidly high for what I’d eaten another 5 mins and it was 9.6 . This has happened before but why would a meter give such bonkers reading
Most of the time it works fine but have others had this problem
It could be a faulty test strip or something on your finger, so if you get a reading that seems abnormal, it's best to wash your hands and do another test. If you continue to get abnormal readings, it could be a faulty meter.
Maybe check on you other meter to see if your levels are more what you would expect.
