Anyone had an IPRO put in?

Hello,
My daughter is 8 and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes about a year ago. Her numbers have been all over the place for the last 6 months so the doctor recommended putting in an IPRO to monitor her glucose levels for 3 days continuously.
Has anyone had an IPRO inserted and were you glad you did it?
Did it help you and steer your care in the right direction?
How painful was it to insert?
How much did it cost you?

If anyone can give any info it would be very helpful.
thanks--Kris

I had an Ipro 2 put in last week for 5 days to monitor my bg levels day and night as I was taking part in a cgm device. Its painless to insert really (only a very small amount of discomfort) and once in you dont really know that it is there. The sensor is covered up with adhesive sellotape stuff and will record all your daughter's glucose levels. It is fairly accurate with the data that it records. As long as your daughter is careful when having a shower and bathing and doesn't pull the sensor out when getting dressed etc... then its no problem at all. So dont worry ... ok
