Apparently I'm on my "honeymoon"?

I was in honeymoon for more then 7 months and i was without any insulin in that time. You should be lucky because not everyone have that chance and as long as it lasts enjoy everyday. Your sugars will be more stable and if you come off insulin there are no needles which was really important for me when i was just diagnosed lol. Just try to control your carbs and food and to have regular physical activity. It will not end suddenly, your reading will slowly start to be higher and you will need to increase your basal insulin at first

I was also diagnosed about 3 months ago. I am currently on 6 units of Levemir and on Novorapid with 1:25 carb ratio. One of the most shocking things to me was how much physical activity can decrease my BG. Once a 15-minute walk took me from 7 to 2.8. Good luck!

I'm in a very similar situation, taking 6 lantus and novorapid 1:20 (though its pretty unpredictable). I find walking drops its hugely too, it makes me scared to do anything more strenuous!

try not to be scared -- just be prepared -- carry your testing , insulin and some fast acting carb and you'll be fine
