Surely it will depend to some extent on what treatment they are receiving. That is if they are reducing glucose by increasing circulating insulin then quite possibly. In point of fact a friend's consultant has recently stopped her insulin injections all together as he has come to believe that the last thing a T2 needs is loads of insulin injected.
