Argon or Pascal for laser treatment of diabetic retinopathy?

If you had treatment with laser, do you know which one was used? In our trust, the argon laser is used. We read that pascal laser might have a better outcome in regards to loss of peripheral vision, but possibly cause the need for more treatment in the future.
What are your thoughts and outcomes, please?
