Hi ladies
So I'm 9 weeks pregnant and my doctor has prescribed asprin and I can't for the life of me remember why she said I should take it? I know it's used for thinning the blood.
Does anyone know?

Thanks

It's to control your blood pressure, pre-eclampsia is common in pregnancy for diabetics so they make you take aspirin to help stop it developing.

I was told I didn't need this just because of diabetes, only if I actually started to show sings of needing it. My blood pressure is low so I don't think they should just blanket prescribe it to all pregnant diabetics unless it is actually needed??
