Asprin & Low molecular level heparin.

Hi everyone,

I am worried as the obstetrics doctor want me to have a low molecular level heparin injection daily in addition to the asprin from my 12th week of pregnancy. Asprin to control blood pressure & the heparin to thin the blood. I'm worried as I think that the asprin also thins the blood. I also worry about the effects on my baby too.

Can anyone please help with my dilemma.

Aspirin does reduce the risk o clotting blood. It doesn't, as far as I know, reduce blood pressure. I would make an appointment to ask your care team to explain your medicines to you properly.
