Remember that the whole thing about the ND diet compared to other diets is that it is a starvation diet i.e. ultra low calorie, low carb, and low fat. Any form of milk is reducing its effectiveness. The semi skimmed is adding fat, and therefore carbs and calories.

True but your experience is not the same as a "regular" T2 for whom cutting carbs out sufficiently should be enough to improve things greatly. In your case it would never have "worked" .
