The left side is also worse on me. Originally all over tongue, gums and that bit where your jaw closes. It came before the diabetes and I attended the dental hospital here in Leeds for 3 years. The only treatment though is the steroids. I try and ration these for when It is particularly bad. It doesn’t really go away at all. Meh!
