The Accu-Chek Aviva Nano is a great little meter but does tend to go through the batteries quick, on Sunday I replaced them and yesterday the battery light was flashing then it went blank.

Today I phoned their Careline and reported this and requested new batteries thinking those I'd used were faulty, the operator asked if I'd reset the meter lately, confused as I've lost the instruction book she said to take the battery draw out and press any key which will reset the meter, true enough I did this and replaced the batteries and the battery symbol is showing full and working fine, just thought I'd post this in case anyone else is experiencing the same problem.

I've never had any issues with my Aviva Nano batteries, but that's a useful tip

That's good to know, compared to the old Aviva I find they are more heavy on the batteries but this is due to the back-light on the meter, still wouldn't swap it for any other!

Hi All.
I too have and use the aviva nano, its great light, compact, small n practical in design.
Works a treat in dim or dull light due to the larger illuminated numbers.
I have dropped it many a time [on my 'dropsy days!' ] n it hasnt given up on me yet!
In the 3-4 years had it only had to replace the batteries 'once' free from roche.
They sent me some more batteries plus fresh batch of control solution , I also use
their large - blood sugar levels daily log books too .
Started out with the ordinary accu-check aviva then got my little nano.
Far prefer the nano and am hanging onto it !!!!
Anna.

With the Nano there is a know issues with the battery contacts...

Before I had my combo pump, I had the Nano meter and used to do the same to me, I would just pop out the batteries give the a rub then put them back in again, and all worked fine..
