bad basal what to do

hey guys im having high fasting bg between meals and upon wake up i fin out that my basal insulin pen was leaking from the vial should i take basal dose right now i took the last one yesterday at 8pm but i think it dosent mater cause the insulin is not working properly or should i wait to 8pm im using tresiba
 
I would be tempted to use bolus corrections until your normal basal time, and then probably expect to continue to run high tomorrow as the overlap of the basal which wasn't injected last night will not be in effect.

(I realise this is now too late for your particular problem, but for reference. Also, what did you do, did it work?)
 
I did exactly as you recommended my level are much better today but still a little higher than normal fasting 146 mg dl (8.1 mmol)I hope tomorrow everything will settle down
