Wow you are amazing! Sometimes our bs just does it's own thing! Keep goingThank you, Jim.
I am on one 500g Metformin SR tablet with breakfast. I have changed my diet and added more exercise to my daily regime. (I did 5km on the exercise bike this afternoon). I have been eating this way since diagnosis, but ate badly before. I have lost 11lbs in the past month, and 3.5 stone before that.
Regards,
Carol
You look like a different person, Carol ,,, I think we all have our bad days where our BG doesn't do what we think it should ,,,, I know I always feel worse if I don't get enough sleep ,,,make sure you're getting the proper rest, along with your diet and exerciseThank you for the encouragement my friends. Yes, tomorrow is another day. Hopefully a better one. Here are a photo of me before the diet (!!!) and a recent shot.

Have you been tested for Vitamin D deficiency, Cazza? Having mine diagnosed/treated made the biggest difference to my energy levels, even more so than getting my BG level down. Definitely worth checking.

Keep it up ,,,you're on the right track !
hormones, infection, stress, not enough metformin, or all 4?
if your normally ok and this is a hiccup, review in a week to give time to settle. I started on 1000 met and went to 1500 to get a decent morning reading
unless there is a clinical reason to have 500?

You're going great guns Cazza! This life is like being on a hamster wheel. There are always things to contend with and no let up.
I started on 3 doses of met but when I got down to 1 I was advised to take it with my evening meal. I don't know if it makes a difference.
I've been surviving on 4-5 hours sleep during the week at the moment and I didn't realise it could affect bg so thanks whoever posted that. I've never been good in the heat either.
Super photos. You'll be posting more soon!
Keep up the good work.
Small steps, left foot, right foot.
