Anyone got any idea why my BG is lower if i dpnt have my basal insulin (Toujeo). Its crazy but for 8 years my hba1c has been rocketing it is now at 14 or 130. I stopped taking the basal insulin for a few days as its always off the scale 25+ and low and behold its down by half !!!!!

I have no idea.
But wanted to comment on your user name. Just wondering if you are happy to expose your full email address. You could just use your name if you want to avoid over sharing.
I am sure one of the moderators could change it if you ask.

Who knows, but whatever the case your current regime isnt working. Are you sure Toujeo is the right basal for you? I have read about people have problems with it. Have you tried Levemir or Tresiba?

I had a google, because I was interested. I found this, below. Apparently some people have found with Toujeo that they start taking, and it works for a few weeks, and then goes haywire, and they have unexpected highs, and lows.

But your experience seems to be consistent highs. Apparently you can become immune to insulins, and there is a greater risk of becoming immune to Toujeo, that other insulins. That's weird, I don't know what happens when that happens, I tried googling, but I couldn't find the right key words to find out.

Does anyone know what happens if you become immune to a type of insulin?

But I think the answer is that it's clearly not working for you, so time for a new basal insulin.
