Just received my new contour USB blood glucose monitor. lovely lady asked a few questions regarding my older monitor and got me one sent 1st class.

it's nice. as they say up here "shy bairns get nowt"

Great meter BigBenRolls, had mine a few months now and can't fault it really, my only complaint is the finger pricker which doesn't seem in keeping with such a modern meter, I ditched it and have stuck with my Accu-Chek Multiclix lancer.

Congrats on your new tester - its pretty good and I love that it uploads to their software and you can see it all laid out, even run off print outs for the dr ...

is it really less painful than the contours offering - I use countours contraption and it really does hurt like anything

I have noticed its rather clunky or loose feeling. ive moved from a freestyle optium which was fine. but i have now sent off for a free stylish wallet and a wall charger for it.

No that wasn't my reason for swapping Angue, the Accu-Chek Multiclix has 6 lancets in each drum and with a simple twist you can change the lancet, the one that came with the Contour is for single use meaning you have to change the lancet each time.....it was more for convenience that anything else.
