Bells Palsy



Thanks Yeah it does take time some people have it for months and even years.That must be pretty frustrating to have it for years on end.

Been to see my GP hes happy with my progress and has referred me to the ENT department to get checked out.Other than that its a case of things will get better in time.

Cheers Chris My GP gave me a self referral form which i went online and chose an appointment.The Earliest on the list was 12th March hopefully that one will be suitable as previous bookings that way for the wife have usually ended up being put back to another date by the hospital.Why they do that is beyond me.
 
5 and a half weeks in and i was able to go out today and didnt need to wear my sunglasses the sun was strong but it wasnt hurting my left eye like it has been.Im also finding i can stare at the computer screen today and not have the left eye wanting to close.I reckon ill prob be able to shower and not have to wear my goggles.Still cant rinse properly after teeth cleaning.Still cant smile properly either or close the left eye without the right one also closing.But i guess that will come in time.I think im on the mend and hope im not tempting fate by saying all this.Am much happier at this.Just gotta get the sinuses sorted now.Hope everyone else is progressing well as well and those that have just started with BP hang on in there guys time is a great healer

Start of week 8 and i can now close the BP eye and leave the other one open.Not used the eye cream or drops for the last few days.It seems my eye is not irritated by the bright light now.Havent needed to wear sunglasses.Smile is also coming back.Still cant completely swish the mouth wash around as vigorously as it should be.But im confident that will return in time.My left nostril is still blocked im going to see the ENT on Thursday for that.I feel a whole lot happier with my progress and i wish everyone on this forum a speedy recovery as well Hang on in there it does get better in time.
 
Progress, that is what I like to hear.
