I wonder if anybody has similar experience. I was diagnosed as T2 towards the end of last year HBA1C was 73, was put on 3* 500mg metformin daily. I also started the low carb diet. I quickly brought HBA1C back to 33 so within normal range and test BG daily which is always fine, stopped taking metformin and staying constantly in the normal range for a non-diabetic. Despite this I have developed tingling and shooting pains in both fingers and toes, it is getting worse daily and now I have a feeling of numbness in legs and for the last few days my lips. I will try and make an appointment with the doctor tomorrow but would welcome any advice.

I wouldn't have thought you would have developed problems so quickly, but there are lots of people on here who will be able to advise you.

Thanks, of course I don't know how long I have had T2 but was undiagnosed, but oddly these symptoms have only happened since I got BG under control. It may of course be unrelated to T2.

Your post struck a cord because I had tingling and discomfort in my left foot before being diagnosed a year ago. After getting BG under control I've had no problem since - but for a couple of weeks now I have had some numbness under the ball of my foot. BG still okay. Strange.

It's not a Vit B deficiency is it? Perhaps best bet is to go visit your GP as you are doing.

Good luck, I hope you can get a proper diagnosis and treatment if needed.
All the best RRB

Do statins figure somewhere in the meds?
