I get 3.8s actually sometimes down to 3.4 but they last a very short time and my liver pumps up the volume. I wouldn't worry about it if you are feeling fine and not on any medication.Good morning I have just returned from shopping and tested my BG it was 3.8 yesterday I had one reading of 3.6 is this anything to be concerned about,I only get one of these readings every day.Thank you
ps I think I am getting obsessed with this testing
@wiseowl_123 there seems to be two 'schools of thought' re diabetes reversal. I have had a non diabetic hba1c (36-38) for 3 years but have been told 'once a diabetic always a diabetic' however a work colleague had 2 hba1cs of 40 and was told he was no longer diabetic. Call me a cynic but I think surgeries get paid for the number of diabetic patients they have hence some of the reluctance to remove us from the register - in addition we probably push up their stats for well-controlled diabetics which makes them look good even if we've done it ourselves!!Good evening Doctor just phoned me conversation went like this, well if you want to just take one metformin tablet in the morning, instead of two,if you want to,don't try to hard on the low carbs,I explained that I was eating 80 to 100 carbs a day which I felt was right for me,I really wanted to reverse my diabetes if possible, doctor said that's not possible, once you have diabetes you have always got it,I said I cannot except that,he said well if you go below 3 and you feel dizzy up your carbs ,he will see me in 2 months for my 3 month assessment ie blood test and we will go from there,I also asked why I haven't got a Diabetic nurse as the last one left,he said they are getting a new one at the end of February,I then bid him goodnight

My understanding with Metformin is that if you change the dose it usually takes a couple of weeks before any changes happen with your BGGood evening tonight I am not going to take my usual 1 tablet of 500g metformin just to see what effect it has on my fasting FBG in the morning, with my doctors permission I may add,I have already taken my morning tablet
