Dear all - I set off on the Type 2 trail about 6 weeks ago and at that stage had no understanding whatsoever about diabetes. My contribution to the forum so far has been minuscule but the knowledge I have gathered from reading all kinds of posts has been immeasurable. I just wanted to commend all who administer and contribute their experience to the forum - a vital resource for us all.

Hj @Robkww I'm another who learnt just about everything I know about diabetes and how to control it from this forum. I hope you will continue to post about your journey, sharing what you learn with others too. We can all learn from each other.

Hello @Robkww , ditto to all that's been said above. My diagnosis was 30 September this year, and would have been lost without this site and these people. How are you getting along?

Hello, I'm not too bad as at the stage I'm at the T2 seems to be manageable within a new daily routine - if I stick to it. My hat goes off to those who have stricter regimes or have had to cope for a lot longer with either of the varieties.

Couldn't of put it better myself, so much encouragement and support from total strangers with one thing in common!!! I just wish this level of niceness was shown outside of this forum the world could learn a lot from the people here .

Much love and great respect to all

What a fab thread. We should bottle it and gift it to the sad people of the world!! Ooops, carried away again....

I agree, I'm very lucky as I enjoy cooking and experimenting, and Andy is very amenable to whatever I cook. I like the idea that we're "beating" diabetes. Feels a bit sneaky, cool. Still as I say, so far, I'm a lucky one. Hugs to all who are struggling at the moment...
