Hi I was diagnosed with Type 1 when i was 21, by the time i was30 i had lost my eyesight and my kidneys began to fail, i was put on the transplant register for a dual kidney/pancreas transplant and the rest is history! I've been transplanted 11 yrs this October and i'm diabetes free and apart from recently battling with cancer i've been very well! I would be happy to share my experiences with everyone, good or bad and maybe help someone avoid the mistakes i made

Well, i'm an example of what happens when u dont look after yr diabetes and i wouldnt want anyone else to experience what i have. We all know that managed properly and with respect complications can be avoided
