I still havent eaten or drunk anything and for curiosity just retaken test and its gone up to 7.3.
As my results gone up due to the fact i havent eaten ir drank anything since half 8 this morning .
Your liver will regularly provide you with glucose as your body consumes it during the day. Without any insulin resistance your pancreas would increase your insulin and your cells would take up the excess. However due to the resistance and lack of insulin levels your cells do not take it on and so your liver over produces and your levels go up. The same can happen with exercise and also when you wake in the morning (known as dawn phenomenon)
Yep, it's your liver dumping glucose in your system because you are fasting too long and it believes you are in starvation mode. Best to eat regularly to avoid this. Have you not even drunk any water? You must be dehydrated, which also isn't a good thing.
If you not feeling hungry during the day it's still best just to nibble on something, ( maybe snack on something sounds better) that stops the liver doing it's stuff, just afew nuts or something does the trick for me.
Is there a reason for this? You need to keep well hydrated to flush your kidneys out, and starving yourself of food and fluid won't do anything for either your glucose levels or your general health. It's best to at least have a snack, and plenty of water.
