Hi their i am type 1 diabetic 21 year old female i have had diabetes since the age of 8 anyway last week i noticed a blister and its burst im not sure if its infected but its red swollen and very sore should i go to the a&e as docs are closed now and could not get an emergancey appointment with my doc i know diabetes can effect your feet so i am a little worried i am trying to add a pic but wont let me add it please email me and i can show dmc.x3x@gmail.com x

Is your foot hot and puffy/swollen near the blister? If it was I would be down to A&E.

Might be worth calling out of hours or 111 if you are not sure what to do.

Is there an NHS drop-in centre anywhere near you? Check on-line; avoid A&E if you can. Your foot probably isn't a real emergency, although it does need to be wseen.
As a DIY measure, I would clean the blister with salt water and then put a dry dressing on it. Definitely get it seen ASAP

Hi called nhs24 they told me to call the doc and advise them i get an emergancey appointment so finally got one doctor wasnt a great help put a dressing on it wich he wasnt sure to do first or not so gad to get a second opinion so got a little dressing on it if its still the way it is tomorrow i am going to go to out of hours docs in the hospital for a second opinion

Hi! Hope you get this sorted soon. Anything foot related can be such a worry. I had a blister a few months ago ( hot weather, slip-on shoes) and got quite panicky about it. Just remember that doctors are there to protect your health so if you are not happy about what they say it is ok to tell them.
