After quitting 5 years ago, I found I've become ultra sensitive to the smell. I find the smell of both cigarettes and coffee almost overpowering, especially if the person ingested them recently. Weird, but I find the coffee smell every bit as unpleasant as the cigarette smell. Both together is even worse
Interestingly I can't stand the taste of coffee, nasty bitter stuff, but I don't mind the smell of it. My sense of taste and smell have definitely improved since quitting smoking.

I don't have a problem with the smell of coffee per se - it's quite pleasant. What affects me is the smell of it on people's breath - especially on a smoker's breath. I know, I know, I'm weird
I wish I had your will power. I'm an all or nothing person.
I actually had a few Drs tell me quitting is like removing an organ. I believe it as I have smoked most of my life. It's used to it.
Thankfully I gave up 8 years ago, 8 years before I had to give up a lot more things I used to enjoy!
I managed to give up going 'cold turkey' although for me having then recently watched as my own father wither away and die in agony of smoking induced lung cancer, I was determined I was going to try and avoid a similar fate, but more importantly I did not want my children to have to witness and endure what had to.... Sorry to be perhaps a little graphic - but needs saying!
