I have a few blood meters (2 never been used)that I no longer require. NHS are not allowed to accept so does anyone know of a charity that would take them? Hate just to bin.
If not, I guess the only option is local council waste electronic and electrical equipment. They are supposed to strip recycleable components, but again, not sure in current circumstances if they do.
I've looked in the past and would be really keen to do this too. I've got a perfectly fine libre 1 reader which I don't need now my prescription has been changed to libre 2. The key thing is whether the strips etc which go with the device would still be available.
Also got old insulin pens which work fine and would still fit current insulin cartridges, I've just changed to half unit pens. Obviously still advise to keep a spare just in case.
Thank you for replying and supplying a link. Unfortunately you are correct in that they are not accepting anything because of the pandemic. Good to know for future.
