Before I start - I am going to ask the doctor about this when I'm next there. I'm not worried by anything, just curious.
I've been in hospital a lot recently for a tonsillectomy so I've started actually paying attention when they take my blood pressure. But I've no idea what the numbers mean!
It's usually in the region of 105/60. Can someone shed any light?
It was briefly mentioned a few years ago that my BP is low-ish, but no more has been said on it. In the last month I've noticed I get light headed when I stand up, I black out. I'm fully conscious etc, I just can't see for about 10 seconds. I'm guessing its related but I don't actually know of course!
I hear people worry about high BP, but never hear of concerns with low.
right so james bonds bp is 140/70 which is perfect so yeah you are right yours is a bit low!
the 'blackout' as you say is your heart not pumping enough blood upwards to your brain/eyes for a few split seconds. thats what your seeing, an interuption.
I've heard its good to pump your fists a couple of thimes rapidly before standing can help reduce this (gets heart beating faster)
in the UK we dont prescribe meds for low bp, in germany they do apparently
