Blood sugar 30 minutes after eating?

I'm trying to catch the peak of my blood sugar after a heavy carb meal, so I can get evidence for my doctor to refer me for a glucose tolerance test - currently he is fixated on a normal Hba1c result despite my odd reactions to meals.

Today I measured about 35 minutes after a bowl of weetabix and some apple juice. Eek it was 10.4 mmol. That seems way too high, but maybe I'm wrong. Could a non diabetic experience sugar that high as their peak?

Easily and they often do sometimes even higher, I peak normally at about an hour, 30 minutes to my mind is possibly a bit to soon to test.

Often I test before meal then 1 hour after and again at 2 hours most people test before eating then at 2 hours after the meal. I prefer to know what the peak was as well as if it has returned to normal at 2 hours. My libre keeps track of the curve for me now.

Thank you for the quick reply! I'm still fairly new to the diabetes scene, so I'm not sure what a Libre is?

Sorry it's the FreeStyle Libre blood glucose monitoring device.

A flash glucose monitoring device (or sometimes called a CGM) where a sensor monitors your sugar glucose levels continuously throughout the day.
