I had to have surgery yestereday and had fasted from night before, as a diabetic I should have gone to theatre early but I neede an ultrasound before I went and of course nothing runs smooth in Hospital I eventually went at 14.35 hrs on admission my bm was 7.3 I was told I could go home 4 hrs after surgery which would have been 21.00 hrs they gave me somrething to eat at 18.00 hrs then did my bm at 20 45 it was 16.9 I had to wait another hour it was then 12.6 I promised if I could go home I would monitor my bm as I am type 2 diet only I normaly just watch my carbs, I had toast this am i checked levels after 2 hrs 10.9 Ihad no carbs for lunch just veg stirfry checked again now 8.7 unable to exercise yet any ideas how to bring levels down, not feeling great but I dont expect to after surgery but if hyper making me feel worse need some advice.
