Hi - hope you are feeling better soon - I would just keep watch on the carbs, ensuring you don't go too low either whilst you can't exercise. I wondered what effects you were having from the higher level that could not be put down to post operative symptoms? When mine is high, the first thing I notice is that my eyes go out of focus and I have a collection of non-precription reading glasses for when this happens! The other thing is that I am thirsty and I need to wee a lot, and right now this minute, not when it is convenient of when I can get there! I know to look straight away at my level and all this can occur when the level was perfectly ok the last time I checked and injected. My diabetes is a bit different because it is caused by acute pancreatitis and part of my pancreas and gall bladder being removed, and the bit of my pancreas that is left, sometimes works and sometime doesn't so it throws all my calculations out. I also think operations sort of throw the body out of sync and you should just take it easy and let it calm down. I hope you will be ok. xx
