Hi Gemini and welcome to the forum This information for new members should help you to lower your BG levels and your HbA1c. HbA1c is not something that needs to be cured - it is a measurement of (approximately) your last 3 months' blood levels. Yours just needs to come down a bit but not too fast. For non-diabetics, the usual reading is 3.5-5.5%. For people with diabetes, an HbA1c level of 6.5% is considered good control, although some people may prefer their numbers to be closer to that of non-diabetics.

People at greater risk of hypoglycaemia, may be given a target HbA1c of 7.5% to prevent too many low blood sugars from occurring. . Ask all the questions you need to and someone will help.
