Is there no other way? I have seen some bodybuilders on net with 4-5% body fat who are diabetics. I'm at around 12% bodyfat but even the layer of fat is getting kinda hard due to muscles!A) You use short needles - it's possible to get 4mm ones that should suffice.
B) You inject intramuscular, which likely to be more painful, and doesn't work with Lantus.
What is your body fat percentage? You'll need to be in the 5-8% level before this becomes an issue.
Dude, I'm at the same body fat level. there is still plenty to stick a needle in. Don't worry...Is there no other way? I have seen some bodybuilders on net with 4-5% body fat who are diabetics. I'm at around 12% bodyfat but even the layer of fat is getting kinda hard due to muscles!(
But....I dont have enough fats on my upper body at all. I mean the needle just wont go in cause my upper body is rock hard! I once tried to inject into my forearm and the needle wont go in....I pushed too hard and it came out from the other side of the skin....I mean its just too less fat on upper body. Though there is some on my abdominal area but I never have injeceted in abdominal area at all.Dude, I'm at the same body fat level. there is still plenty to stick a needle in. Don't worry...
At my lowest bodyfat, I was 9.8% and had no issues with getting needles in, and they easily penetrated muscle. @donnellysdogs is another with very low body fat.But....I dont have enough fats on my upper body at all. I mean my muscles are also making my fat layer hard as hell. My forearm is extremely muscular so needle didn't work there at all. No never used buttocks xDAt my lowest bodyfat, I was 9.8% and had no issues with getting needles in, and they easily penetrated muscle. @donnellysdogs is another with very low body fat.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say you tried to inject in your forearm and it came out of the other side of the skin?
Have you tried using your buttocks? They are also a fleshy area.
I see. I will try the upper arm today then! The thing is, when your muscles are relaxed the needle will enter them as easily as anything else, although you are likely to feel it. It does sound like something else may be going on.
You also shouldn't be injecting in your forearm. I would have expected you to use your upper arm.

Humulin 70/30 and I use BD Ultra Fine 2 syringes. If it goes into the muscles, the insulin usually gets to work more quickly. What insulins are you on? What needle lengths are you using?
Yeah I will try that.Give the abdomen a try.
