Ok so just had a boozy weekend in Dublin for my 60th . Didn’t stray off the low carb much maybe a few mushy peas and carrots and some white pudding . Or even some bbq chicken wings . Was expecting a little high reading today after the booze clears out of me but I had a bowl of meatballs and Dolmio sauce with cheddar cheese. Tested before at 6.1 which is higher than normal for me . I normally am about 5.2 in the evening . But after 2 hrs I nearly fell over . It was up to 7.7 I have NEVER been that high even when diagnosed a year ago . Special note to all . Stay away from the dolmio . Hoping to get it back down to normal levels by the end of the week

Happy Birthday Peadair! Lesson learned.

Happy belated birthday, @Peadair !

You should be feeling ok, as you had a good party with wonderful food, and 7.7 happens to non diabetics sometimes
Yeah I know . But they never see it . When you’ve been used to readings in the low 5s high 4s . It’s a bit of a shock . I’ll get it back on track in a few days . Hopefully Thanks for the reply

Thanks bud . Yeah absolutely . Stick to the bodies and Coke Zero . Ditch the Dolmio .
Funny thing about it is ,I feel pretty ok .
You can buy low sugar Domino now. I have tried it and does not seem to affect me. Happy 60th

Belated 60th birthday greetings @Peadair O Brionn! Good that you enjoyed your celebratory weekend.
Your pre and post meal readings are still within range, so all is good.

Yes you will, until your next birthday
I will . But prob until St Patrick’s day . I’ll Be in the Canaries . So could be a bit iffy .
