Type 2 Bread lover...... D'OUGH!!

Have you tried Rye bread, it seems to have less sugar than 17 g
My, or rather, my husbands package of rye bread says 36g. I haven't touched rye bread since some time last April, and I'm a Dane, you know, open sandwiches/smorgasbord and all that ...?

I like the Tescos high protein bread but have tried the Hovis low carb one as well.

Thank you all for your replies, it's obvious there are options out there. The search goes on

When I was still eating bread I used Hovis Nimble. Quite nice but only really low carb because each slice is tiny. From memory I think it’s around 8g per slice (per bite in other words).

I’ve since abstained completely from all breads and find it much easier to sustain.

Now I must admit I have not had a smack barm pea wet or a pie barm for that matter for a long time I know just how hard it must be for you as a denizen of Wigan to give up the lovesome bread way of life but at least cut down on the pie barms.
