BS Monitors and when to replace

I was just wondering how reliable BS monitors after time. I’ve had mine 6 years and I’m finding I need to replace the battery much more frequently. Any advice?

Contact manufacturer they are usually very good at replacing things
 
I get a new one free every couple years from the major manufacturers.
 
I had an accu-chek one for about 15 years when I decided I should replace it. It worked fine.
