BS readings

Side dishes spinach and paneer and onion bajies home made with gram flour ( chickpea flour) and a veggie side dish. Creamy and mild. Will have 2 poppadoms as no carbs today

I posted a nice paneer and green bean curry on the low carb forum if you like paneer.

I seem to recall on here that someone on a continuous glucose monitor noticed a spike after rice at 5hrs so maybe spilt difference and go for 4?

pre tea 6.9 post 9.9.
a bit of a hike but i did have some cough mixture in between readings

Thanks cold ethyl, i do know I need to do it.. The first stone came off so easily, that I thought I had it licked. Will start from tomorrow with adding my food etc to my fitness pal and I am sure I will be shocked at the calories I'm eating even without the carbs...

They soon add up. I tend to try and keep to around 1200 or so though as it's got colder I've crept up a bit some days. I also peddle most days for at least 20 minutes just to burn a teeny bit extra off. I've found that having a green tea helps as sometimes it's not hunger but thirst or just habit to snack,

fasting 5.1
post breakfast/pre lunch 5.5
late testing after lunch - 6 but really jittery after opticians and had only had two tiny 12g cheese things for lunch so not surprised
pre dinner 5.3
post dinner @11/2 hrs 5.8

Take heart @Kezzer4321 You are not alone. I've been stuck for the past 3 weeks or so and have followed all the advice here and dropped all the things I thought it was okay to eat and am now counting carbs (a strict 1200 daily) something I thought I wouldn't have to do on LCHF and still no difference. I use MyFitnessPal too

Last resort has been to go back to my personal trainer for some hard core exercise. First thing she said when I phoned her was not to worry about plateauing - its natural.

That is so not fair!

Sorry, I feel embarrassed sometimes posting, when I see what some others post.

I was when diagnosed borderline, very lucky, but I have now started 1hr readings as I had an 11.2 just recently when I was having the same breakfast which I been having since diagnosis, (late September), but with a full 40g of granola, did not realize I had been spiking on the 1hr. So now the granola is just a sprinkling to use up, 2 bags so it'll take a while.

Ooh that sounds Yummylicious. How do you cook the spinach paneer and onion bajies? Do you shallow fry or oven bake?
I fancy making them tomorrow.

Hi Dianagrace, Thanks for the kind words of support... I have to say that old habits die hard, yesterday I was feeling very sorry for myself, I am just getting over a bad cold and I felt that all my hard work (diet wise) was a waste. But I gave myself a slap and then got down to doing something about it.. I've downloaded myfitnesspal, weighed out all my food and planned all my meals for today.. and if it ever stops raining I'll increase my exercise too...at some point if I keep doing all the good things.. the weight will have to start moving again.

Hi I shallow fry the onion bajies...just sliced onions then a batter of gram flour spices of your choice. I use pataks paste. Then water till thick enough to coat them
