Hi all, just a quick question, have gone to inject this morning and have noticed there is a couple of bubbles in my Novomix 30 pen is this still safe to use or should I discard it and use a new pen?
Thanks in advance.

Hold the pen upright and tap the insulin a few times till the bubbles settle at the top, keeping the pen upright draw up a few units of insulin then do an air shot.....this should get rid of the air bubbles, if not change the pen.
There are quite often bubbles in insulin pens. I wouldn't worry too much. Do the 2 test units to get the insulin moving through the needle and when you place the pen against your skin the bubbles should move up to the rear end of the pen with gravity.
If you're really worried though, discard the pen and get a new one.
Jimmy, this is why I posed the question as I was unsure if it was safe to use with bubbles in. So took advise,I am not going around using my pen as a water pistol.
