Well having seen that so many of you have bulletproof coffee in the mornings I have just made myself some bulletproof hot choc. Some butter, coconut oil, Splenda and cocoa, with almond milk. Quite nice, made half a mug full, so will still need to eat breakfast as it's not stopped me feeling hungry, but perhaps next time I need more fat and more milk!

thanks for this will make it as a bedtime treat...

@nomistheman I would have to disagree with you as the guy who marketed something some Yak farmers up in the Himalayan mountains had been doing more or less for centuries,

Bulletproof Coffee, which is basically just a cup of black coffee with grass-fed butter and medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) oil mixed in, was designed by Dave Asprey, owner of Bulletproof Executive, to "supercharge your brain function and create effortless fat loss with no cravings."

Not to create ketosis, which many people have jumped onto. I use bulletproof-esk raw caco as I wish to up my fat consumption along the lines of LCHF. Which it does. So Trinity seems to be getting the gist and the jury is out on increased brain function....

I am doing it to try and up my fat intake easily. At the moment I have slightly switched to a desert spoon of goats milk ice cream onto which I pour a hot double cream, choc, butter and sweetener concoction.

I stand corrected....

I still do it for increased fat not ketosis as I'm not that focused. Yet. Although I use a dash or a 1/16th of a tsp of stevia cause I really don't like the taste. But the raw caco needs something...

I've learnt something.

I drink a similar sort of fatty cocoa - though I don't necessarily think of it as "bullet-proof" - just sustaining: Green & Black's cocoa, teaspoon of coconut oil, double cream and/or almond milk, with a few drops of liquid stevia. . It's never prevented me being in ketosis, and it's a good bedtime drink to help keep my tum happy and full over night! I think someone on the forum also adds a little peppermint which goes well with the cocoa.

I also use a fair bit of erythritol in my baking - this (like stevia) is more or less no carbs no calories, and even a combination of this and cocoa (as in chocolate muffins or cookies) has never upset either my being in ketosis or my glucose levels.

So I must also beg to differ, and I think what might upset the apple cart ketosis-wise is definitely not a one-size-fits all issue.

There are many claims made that just don't stack up

Tis true but everyone wants a miracle right?

I drink a version that helps me increase my fat consumption for the day. And lower carb cravings for me, turning into a super food hack is not my goal. Gotta take everything with a pinch of 'who's making money of this' and take it from there....
