Burning legs and feet

Lately my skin on my legs and feet burn and feel hot. Is this caused from my diabetes and is there anything I can do to stop it?
I have talked to my diabetes dr about this but he just says its because my BG is not stable. Any advice?

It might well be Peripheral Neuropathy caused by the diabetes, there's some information here about the condition:
