-I barely do my sugars and injections which I know is terrible but I just can't seem to remember or want to do them! My HB1C is really bad and I want to improve it but I can't actually seem to do it.
I'm 18 and I go drinking and clubbing a lot which doesn't help my sugars but I love it!
Does anyone have any suggestions of how to get back on track??
P.S. My daughter is now 19-and I have realised watching her and her friends grow up-how much you have to deal with-even non-diabetic 18 year olds!-
Hi Sara - I think the most important thing to do is not be so hard on yourself.Of course you want to go out clubbing and drinking-your 18,that's what 18 year olds do! Yes-we all know the advice about this pig of a condition, but I believe that if you stop the fun, you'll resent it so much it'll be counterproductive. My advice would be to relax a bit about it,phone the B.D.A. help line-their really good and will understand you-not the diabetes. Thank goodness your normal and want to party. Have a bit of faith in yourself, you will get to where you want to be- you have plenty of time to do that.
