Byetta 10

Hi Buzzangie, I would be interested to know which of the US sites wouldn't let you join. I am a member of the Lizardspit blogstream and had no problem signing up.

Hi Buzzangie, I see what you mean - the registration site will only accept a US address and zip code. Unfortunately their website isn't very helpful as it doesn't even have a "contact us" section so you can't even complain.

I think I will call their UK helpdesk and suggest that now byetta is prescribed internationally Eli Lily should recognise that they have customers outside the States.

Hi everyone,

I am new to the Byetta thing - just been told by my doctor that she is going to refer me to the hospital to be put on this wonder drug. At prersent I feel very low and lazy - not like me at all - I am a get up and go girl. Can anyone confirm to me that I will actually feel, once the sickness has passed, more like the old me once I am on Byetta? Apparently once you are on insilin you feel better but not heard the same about byetta. All comments would be appreciated.

thanks.x.

Hi Pudding Maker and welcome to the forum.

I can't tell you what difference there is in how you feel on Byetta as opposed to insulin because I have never been on insulin. But I can tell you that on Byetta, with the help of a good diet and a little extra exercise, I now have blood sugars consistently in the non-diabetic range, an HBA1C of 5.7% and still reducing, I am 3½ stone lighter, and feel fitter and have more energy and stamina than I had 20 years ago.

Can I suggest that you have a look at the thread titled "Anyone Use Byetta?" because this is where all our Byetta colleagues post. There is a load of information there that you may find useful.
