First off I have been experiencing symptoms related to diabetes such as frequent urination, excessive hunger, on and off dry mouth, and tingles in my hands/legs/feet. I did go to my doctor and mentioned the frequent urination only because I felt like it could be diabetes or due to my bowel symptoms (they are going to check if I have IBS). Anyways, she made me do a urine sample which, according to her and the lab results, were negative for sugar/protein but it seems like I have a slight infection. With that they gave me pills for the UTI and sent me off saying that I did not have diabetes because they didn't find traces of sugar/protein so she if not going to test me further. I am still experiencing the symptoms but for the excessive hunger right after eating a meal could be due to my period also (I am not too sure). My point is I am worried and kind of annoyed of going back to my doctor multiple times. In the summer I had a cough that lasted 2 months, then there was my bowl movements and now this. Also I feel like she wouldn't do anything else because of the infection and the fact that from experience when I asked to do a chest x-ray in the summer, just in case, it took me a month and a half to 'persuade' her.
