Yesterday i was given my T2 diagnosis and have been told to ease up on the carbs.

However, as this is mainly what i eat during the day, i'm going to fine it very difficult

I don't eat vegetables.

Any suggestions on what to do with the carb comedown?

Boeing,

Take a look in the Diabetes Food section of the forum for suggestions, but I'll admit it will be hard for you not liking vegetables.

I can't imagine not eating veg with my meals, do you really not like any veg at all?

I would start with trying to cut out unnecessary carbs. Be careful what you drink, choose diet drinks or water over sugary drinks/fruit juice. Regarding not eating veg, now may be a good time to start. If you are prepared to experiment a little you will be amazed at what you may find you like. Something like a chicken salad for instance would be a good replacement for a sandwich at lunch time. Just try and keep your carbs down a bit and try to be consistent with your eating. That way you can balance your sugar levels out then let your medication do the work.
