I am an old but card carrying hippie so the things I don't like are too numerous to mention. I am not a patriot of any kind. My country continuously shames me and themselves.
We have never been on a regular schedule for eating. But we need to be to follow the sliding scale set up by the medical people.
I need a way please to decide how much insulin to give for some random amount of carbs in grams. Some times 10 units after a meal or an eating period for Jennifer could be too much for three cookies a beer and some peanuts. Is there a book that discribes that process clearly? Just got the carbs fat calorie book but it's two inches thick and I need to know with out trying to skim the book to fine out. Any sort of direction to more info would be appreciated.

I:C ratios ( insulin to carbs covered) are individual and can ultimately only be determined by
testing , injecting , eating , testing. ( repeating over time)

this is something you should discuss with your health care team
