Carbs in bacon & Diabetic animals.

I just read that and thought maybe you had been in the country of Iceland and had just taken off in a plane.

I am English but lived in Spain for 10 years and visited the countries around europe. I do not have strange ideas, just what I found with experience.

Well, your views are rather at odds with the experiences I have had while travelling in Europe.
Probably best to avoid sweeping generalisations about different nationalities - it is easy to cause offence.
We also have many members from different cultures and countries, and it would be a pity if they were made to feel unwelcome.

I am currently in Germany. Not sure if they have any bacon around here without any sugars at all. Perhaps I haven't searched good enough yet.
 

"When in Rome do as Romans do" as they say However, if they eat 10 kg of sugar every day each... I wouldn't do that no matter which country I am in. No remarks or comments, I just won't eat it. I respect everyone's choices and preferences.

I would also say that tastes differ and the beauty lies in the eye of the beholder... For example I like Japanese cuisine but I do not come from Japan. Tastes are normally not dependent on the country but.. one may have to change it because of your BG levels / health conditions. I used to have a sweet tooth but had to cut it down completely now on all the candies, chocolate bars, marshmallows, and all the other sweet stuff...

Isn't that the recipe for pizzas? You simply take one scone / johnny-cake and put on top of it just anything you can possibly find in your fridge and whatever your imagination tells you. Then bake / cook it and voila, your pizza is ready.
 

Hmm.. Don't remember seeing any local butchers in London after 10 years of living there. My favorites have always been Morrisons and Tesco. But then gain I didn't care much about sugars at that time and ate pretty much everything I liked.

Right, but that's not really local. I mean to say around my whereabouts. I can of course take a 20 minutes walk to my nearest tube station, then 20 minutes tube ride, then another 30 minutes walk or 10 minutes on a bus just one way to reach a butcher, but... that wouldn't make it local

Still several do deliver mail order including Godfreys in Islington.

Well, the easiest and the nearest for me would be to walk 0.7 miles (15 minute walk) to Atherton Leisure Center, then take a bus number 425 and after 19 stops I would reach the Ginger Pig Butchers in Victoria Park, it's right near the bus stop. But I'd rather walk to the Stratford Center stop, that's 1 mile (20 minute walk) and take the same bus there.
