Whelks,winkles... All crustaceous seafood except prawns. Can't do crab.lobster or scallops.
Don't like the way they are killed and cooked. Save our Scallops. SOS !!!
Also HATE evaporated milk.
I am off to the shops tomorrow and as I am now on a low carb diet I was wondering how much carbohydrate per 100gr is considered high?

I am so used to looking at grammes of fat and know anything over 3 grammes per 100gr isn't considered 'low fat'. ( Think that's right ? )

Anyway...What is a high carb number to look out for on food labels ? What percentage per 100 grammes do I now look for?

I am using the Burgen bread but find it tastes dry.... But I'm gonna persevere....

It's more the total number of gramms of carbs you eat across the day and the way they effect your sugars - people seem to have different amounts their bodies can deal with presumably related to how well the pancreas is working in that individual
I go for under 50g a day and my blood sugars are ok around that level.
To work out what's right for you then I'd advise investing in a meter and some test strips if you haven't got them and then testing testing testing for a while to see what level of carbs your body can deal with without your sugars going too high

I was diagnosed a week ago Tuesday and given my first DN visit next Wednesday. More than 2 weeks from my diagnosis.
I am itching to get my hands on a meter as I haven't a clue what my glucose levels are.

Just hope I have an enlightened DN.....
