Hi All .

This week is -UK Carer's Week ...
Very often a 'carer' will do their role without a grumble or a complaint , doing it out of love, loyalty .
They can be exhausted at times yet carry on relentessly caring for a member of their family or a friend .

Anyone want to share any Carer tales/stories or Points of Veiw.
Have set this thread up for any forum members who would like to .

Thanks Anna.

A good friend of mine is a temporary carer for his mother, who suffers from multiple sclerosis and has mostly lost the use of her legs. She's mostly wheelchair bound and finds it difficult to get around most places. I often recall going to their house and seeing her bum shuffling around the kitchen... just the kind of woman she is; very determined and unwilling to give in to her condition. Though she tries not to rely on others, when she needs the extra help my friend and his sister are always there for her.

It takes a special kind of person to care for another... I always recall sitting there and sobbing at some of the stories of young children who are the sole carers of their disabled parents.

I was a carer for my dad who has dementia, last month he got so bad all of a sudden me and my sister had to make the decision he to go to a care home because at home he was miserable ,so now I'm trying sort out he' s money at the same time diagnosed with type 2 to say I'm stressed is a understatement

So 'true' Giverny - Remember many of the stars end up in tears when they do the presentations of
youngsters who win the awards in london for their bravery, care and endurance .
Even I get a lump in my throat and 'gulp' then !

Carers certainly deserve appreciation and recognition for ' all they do ' to care for and help other's .
They are definetely angels
Anna.
