Mike,
People have been using this for around 3 months.
Take a look at the very long "Freestyle Libre On Sale" thread in the Type 1 forum.
 
Thanks for pointing me to that tread where those trialing the device are sharing their experiences.

From what I read it looks as if it will be a few years before one is available on the NHS.

They would have to resolve all the teething problems they are experiencing for the NHS to approve funding, but hopefully one day the Libre will become available on prescription.
 
yeah I am sure something will happen soon with the like of Apple getting involved in monitoring.
