From what I understand it's not on the website. There have been a few people on the T1-CGM Facebook group that tried to buy without a receiver and were rebuffed.

It appears that they've updated the webiste. It now says: "Although the Dexcom G5 Mobile CGM System is a fully-mobile platform, a Dexcom CGM receiver will come with this system."In that case it's misleading advertising and trading standard should be informed.

There are 3 CGM units on the market, Dexcom, Medtronic and the Navigator. So you need to ring the companies concern and ask their pricing.
There is also the Libre this isn't a CGM though, you insert a sensor and scan it with the meter for results.
I bought the dexcom g4 and the start up kit was £680 and the sensors are 200 pound for a box of 4..
I need as shes having hypos every night and im testing evrry 2 hours for the last 4 weeks im so shattered but im scared to sleep in case i miss my alarm to test her as she doent wake up herself, she has had her basal rates lowered everytime and is on the lowest rate but still no luck, her dsn said if i can find somebody thst has had funding and find which hospital it is she said she can get intouch with them and get the paperwork that they used. We are under chesterfield royal hospital,

I'm in the same boat, awake through the night checking on BG levels unable to sleep for worry that I will miss a hypo with my 6 year old. Have you heard of an organisation called INPUT? They work hard to get diabetics the medical equipment they need + will give you advice. The CGMs I am considering, even though they will bankrupt us, are the Dexcom G4 and G5. They are extremely accurate. The Libre is not a CGM, it is expensive too + readings from it can not be used to administer insulin so finger pricking still necessary with each insulin injection. Apparently the new Dexcom G5 is so accurate that it can be used directly for insulin decisions as long as you calibrate it twice daily with just 2 finger pricks. The G4 is cheaper than the G5 to run. I'm just trying to find out if the G5 is worth the price increase from the G4.
