Anyone watching this on CH4 in every afternoon? (about 3.30 I think) - Some of the recipes are very good and although some use carbs they can be adapted if you low carb and they all are low fat so anyone worried about fats they are good - yesterday she made a lamb shepherds pie topped with celeriac mash - it was thickened with flour but served six so it wasn't too bad carb wise - she replaces good meals for bad for each daily person - the shepherds pie portion the woman was making herself had the same amount of sat fat as 16 sticky chocolate puddings!!!!

The day before she made crispy chicken with an amazing coleslaw using radishes with cabbage and lots of other stuff in a greek yogurt dressing - going to try it at the weekend

all recipes are on the CH4 website - if you want the coleslaw recipe search for crispy chicken and coleslaw

Lovinglife, sounds like interesting recipes, I will have a look at CH4 when I can, we have problems getting all ITV stations recently and internet link has been a bit iffy too, so haven't been on here for some time.
I have been trying to get weight down walking, seems, though I feel better for it, my weight doesn't really change. Beginning to think that alot of people on this web site are right, carbs don't 'do' for everyone (this could be my problem too). I'm a salad lover, other half isn't, keep trying to convince more 'bunny food' is healthier than meat and 2 veg!!
Readings are usually around 5.2 sometimes slightly higher or lower during day. Just can't get the morning start lower than 7.6 it really annoys me because it was the morning readings that got me on the metformin aarrggh. Gotta keep working at it though!

jut had the cripsy chicken with the coleslaw for dinner with a nice cold glass of pinot - it was delish - I replaced the polenta for the chicken coating with ground flax seed and it worked well.

The coleslaw had fennel seeds in too and I was a bit heavy handed with them so may reduce them next time - if anyone wants the recipe just let me know and I will post it here

i love that show ^_^ i've tried a couple of the recipes but half the time i don't have all the ingredients and can't really afford to buy all those things at once in a recipe. Still love the show though and i like some of the ideas that i can incorporate into my food
