Change In Medication

Hi everyone

I've been diabetic for 15 years and my meds are no longer helping. I was on victoza (the last 6 years but have been told by specialist it only works for the first year or so (not happy)) with 1g of metformin (apparently I should have been on 2g).

So, now I have to go on other meds - basal insulin, gliptin or SGLT2.

It's a pretty broad question but can anyone help me with this? i.e. pros and cons or each - any reason to refuse one of them?
I am seeing the diabetes specialist nurse in a couple of weeks so have been researching my options.

Thanks for any advice you can give.
