I have had type 1 diabetes now for approximately 20 years (aged 52). All has been well with no complications, other than a frozen shoulder requiring surgery, and now pains in my hands. The right one they say is arthritis, the left one they think is De Quervain's. My last diabetic eye screen has shown that I have a change in pressure behind my right eye and I now have to go for a scan next month. This is worrying me. Anyone had the same ?

Not had the same but perhaps they suspect you have glaucoma, if so here's some info on the condition and how it is treated and managed:

Try not to stress and see what the result of the scan says, good luck.

Is it pressure behind the eye or within the eye? Do you know what type of scan you're being sent for?
